Let's Go On With The Show..

The first night of Holy Neuteronomy! was a huge hit! Obviously the cast had decided to give me the most stressed week of my life (well, this month anyway) by merely pretending they had forgotten the words, didn't know when to enter etc etc. Even the final sing through was terrible. But as luck would have it, the actual show went without a hitch, and my speech went down a storm.
Trouble is now I am still worried. Did they peak too early? Last night's premiere is followed by this afternoon's closing performance. It's being film by NCTV, the local television channel. So however good it was last night, it needs to be even better today....

  • OPENING NIGHT – “Holy Neuteronomy”: The excitement of going to another production by Third City Players was certainly not a disappointment.

Hilary, who wrote the twelve scenes that make up the program, has given the cast fine material with which to showcase its abilities: some accents, a few mood swings, a little crying and lots of laugh lines that require perfect comic timing. The script intermixed with the outstanding musical score composed by famous Gail made “Fiddler on The Roof” seem like amateur hour.

No seats were needed at the CBS because the audience spent the entire time rolling on the floor.

The program opens with “In the Beginning,” followed by the audition-room antics which displayed more talent than the hit series “America’s Got Talent.” The show then takes a turn and ends with the finale of Hilary receiving her Oscar and giving the acceptance speech of a lifetime.

Thank you to all the wonderful people involved who made it a magnificent evening :-)
